Pantapwint Mountain Monastic School
In the forest region of Pantapwint monastery Sayadaw established a
monastic school for the children and youth of near by villages. School
fees, books and luncheon for the students are free and meals are
provided to monks and nuns and those who come to practice meditation
for short or long period under the guidance of Sayadaw. Since the age
of 20 till the present time Sayadaw is a vegetarian and the perimeter
of the monastery is declared as such and those who come to the
monastery are compelled to take vegetable food only.
At present number of students (monks, nuns and children) have risen to
over 400 for which some of the teachers are on voluntary basis.
"PEACEFUL LIFE" Library
The Management
Committee of Pantapwint monastery has now decided to have a library
for the students. A library building is now being constructed near the
classrooms by a donor sponsor. Further funds
are required to complete the library building totally. It
is now requested that whosoever desirous of donating funds for the
library building and for the books, literature (old and new) and
furniture (tables, showcases, bookstands, fans etc.) are welcome. Cash
donations are also invited for expenses to pay for stipends,
maintenance of Library etc. Office equipments such as computers,
printers, copiers, typewriters old and new are also items that can be
donated by donors who wish to obtain peace an happiness in their
heart.
The library in Pantapwint Hill Monastery will be named "PEACEFUL LIFE"
Library and all those participating in establishing and use of this
library may have peace in their life.
Small Building For Meditator
Donors are also invited for structure of small single room buildings
for those who meditate singularly. The requirement is around 30
separate small buildings each estimated to cost about three million
kyats over. Donors are therefore required to donate whole or part of
the buildings. Also In everyday life Sayadaw gives guidance to monks
and nuns on how to meditate and also give sermons everyday at
specified time to persons who visit him at the monastery.
